Job Opportunity - Capacity Development Analyst for Partners for Prevention

Under the supervision of the Programme Coordinator, the incumbent will support the successful delivery of selected activities under the capacity development component of the joint programme. Duties and Responsibilities Management of the capacity development component of P4P Under the guidance and supervision of the Programme Coordinator manage and implement the Output 2 of Partners for Prevention joint programme: this includes work plan preparation, consultant supervision and management, planning, implementation and contribution to project activities; Prepare regular reports on progress achieved by the project following the reporting requirements set by the Regional Programme Coordinator in collaboration with the programme team and project donors; Contributing to the programme’s overall monitoring and evaluation tasks; Coordinating the exchange of information among the programme partners; Supporting other programme-related activities as required; Financial and substantive monitoring and evaluation of the project, identification of operational and financial problems, development of solutions; Aggregate reports on activities, outputs and outcomes; Preparation of donor reports; Provide support to the PC with the design of country/regional work plans; Provide technical backstopping to the PC in support of missions related to priority countries and regional programme activities; Represent the P4P in meetings, workshops, conferences and inter-agency collaboration, as assigned by the PC; Support and oversee the monitoring process for the impact evaluation of P4P; Ensure timely implementation of the P4P impact evaluation strategy. Day-to-day implementation of the capacity development component of P4P Support the coordination of all capacity development activities in selected countries and regionally in Asia and the Pacific; Provide support and technical advice to regional partners, UNCTs, and CSOs in the region to plan and implement localised capacity development; Provide technical assistance for the adaptation and implementation of primary prevention activities in selected countries; Provide technical assistance for the implementation of national GBV prevention policy and programme enhancements based on new evidence; Support the coordination of dialogues with CSO and government partners in select countries to discuss the promising practice in primary prevention; Provide quality assurance of national activities of P4P and national implementing partners (UN, government and CSO) including programme enhancements. Includes providing regular follow up with implementing partners to ensure programme activities are progressing on schedule for the timely completion of deliverables and communicating progress and any issues to the Programme Coordinator. Ensure provision of effective advisory services and facilitation of knowledge building Identification areas of collaboration with CSOs, UN agencies and Government in the areas of capacity development and programme enhancement and following up through provision of technical assistance; Sound contributions to knowledge networks and communities of practice; Organization of trainings, seminars, meetings; Mapping the learning from capacity development projects on GBV prevention and gender issues in Asia-Pacific and provide recommendations for deepening capacity of partners in the region; Undertake/facilitate training sessions at regional/national level based on work plan. Required Skills and Experience Education: Masters degree or equivalent in a discipline relevant to gender-based violence prevention Work experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience at the national or international level in violence prevention in the Asia and Pacific region. Experience in the use of computers and office software packages and handling of web based management systems. Language requirement: Fluency in the English Excellent analytical writing skills in English. Language skills in Asian regional languages preferred but not mandatory.
