INDONESIA LESSONS LEARNT REPORT

This report identifies the key lessons learned from the implementation of VAWG prevention intervention called Reimay ( “Achieving the prosperity” in the local language)  in two villages in Papua for 15 months from October 2016 to December 2017. It was implemented by PKBI (Perkumpulan Keluarga Berencana Indonesia/Indonesian Planning and Parenthood Association) Region Papua and an implementing unit LP3AP (Lembaga Pengkajian dan Perlindungan Perempuan dan Anak Papua/Papuan Women’s and Children’s Empowerment Research Institution). The intervention received support from P4P, UNFPA and UNV Indonesia, with inputs from UN Volunteers. This publication is aimed at providing lessons learned for UN agencies, the Government of Indonesia and civil society organizations in implementing primary prevention programmes and promoting volunteerism at the community level.
