Mission to Cambodia for research project

On Monday morning Emma met with Clara, So and Sopheap to discuss the NAP research, focusing on data collection, timeline and dissemination. Emma then met with the new GIZ team to introduce herself and discuss the P4P reesearch project and the GIZ Navigating the Mainstream, particularly in terms of collaboration and coodination. In the afternoon Emma met with Franz Wong to discuss the use of the P4P resarch to inform the CII and data analysis syntaxes on positive deviants.

All day Tuesday Emma worked with Domrei Research Institute to finalise the questionnaire ready for data collection.

On Wednesday morning Emma presented at the Cambodia National Conference on Women, on 'Innovative Approaches to Violence Prevention'. In the afternoon she met with PyD and Domrei to discuss how the P4P research will be used as a baseline for the PyD Joint Communications Campaign. We discussed the questionnaire and collaboration.

Vietnam Qualitative Research Training

Stephanie traveled to Hanoi to conduct a day-long training workshop with the Vietnam research team. The workshop covered masculinities and gender analyses, as well as discussions and activities on life history methodologies. The day included a review of preliminary findings of the Vietnam qualitative data set.

Trip to Jakarta to meet with UN Women and quantitative bidders

Met with UN Women Indonesia partners to discuss sampling and planning for the GBV Prevention and Masculinities Research Project quantitative study in three sites in Indonesia. Also met with two bidders for the quantitative study and James and Xian presented to them an outline of the steps involved in the quantitative study and clarified the areas and extent of P4P's technical support.
